George’s Wildflower ‘Portraits’ Calendar

Call us “old fashioned”, but our family loves calendars! We have at least six around our house, and our son and daughter-in-law have followed suit. Everyone has their favorites that must show up on a wall or desk each year.

Our daughter gives her dad a ‘tear-off’ desk calendar every year. She draws little pictures and writes notes on many of the pages . A fun surprise when a new day is revealed!

Then there’s the ‘day-planner’ type calendar that illustrates how over-booked our lives are!

My cherished Nikki Schumann wall calendars!

My cherished Nikki Schumann wall calendars!

The Nikki Schumann calendars were the inspiration for creating George Anderson Wildflower Calendars. Many years ago my cousin in Maine gave me a Nikki Schumann poster calendar set. I loved it and started collecting them each year until Nikki Schumann stopped making them. Years later, I continue to display and enjoy the calendars. Each month is like visiting an old friend. On the front of every calendar folder I write the day of the week January 1st falls, in order to know which calendar set to use!

I hope that those who have continued to order George Calendars each year are doing the same!!

We are all anxious for 2020 to be in the rear-view-mirror!!!

I am looking forward to starting 2021 with new and beautiful images to enhance my days. And will strive to have a day-planner calendar that isn’t as hectic!
